The City of Melfort allows the construction and installation of outdoor fire pits upon application and approval.   People interested in installing or constructing an outdoor fire pit should first apply for a Fire Pit Permit. A permit is required before installation can begin. This permit must be renewed on an annual basis.

Citizens that discover discarded needles are asked to call 306-953-4284 (the non-emergency line for Provincial 911 Dispatch).  They will collect the necessary information and relay it to the Fire Department for retrieval and safe disposal.
