Melfort is home to numerous outdoor ice surfaces perfect for a leisurely skate or a game of shinny with friends. The following ice surfaces are prepared and maintained by the City of Melfort.

Spruce Haven Outdoor - Located east of the community garden at Spruce Haven Park, the outdoor ice surface has ample parking, benches and fire pit areas available. There are no boards or lights at this location. (OPEN for the season)

Burke Playground Outdoor - Located at the corner of Broadway Ave South and Melfort Street, this outdoor surface offers street parking and benches onsite. There are no boards or lights at this location. (OPEN for the season)

These facilities are not supervised, use at your own risk.  

Other Ice Skating Surfaces in Melfort

Dale Frier Memorial Outdoor Rink - Located on Brunswick Street just east of MUCC. There are boards and lights to illuminate the ice surface in the evenings. 

The Dale Frier Memorial Rink was dedicated in the fall of 2007 to Dale Frier, a well known community-minded leader that volunteered selflessly to make Melfort a better place to live. 

This ice surface is not maintained by the City of Melfort.
