Boulevards & Sidewalks

Streetlight outages are to be reported directly to SaskPower.

Boulevards

Boulevards are sections of city owned property along roadways that allow space for important infrastructure such as city sidewalks, boulevard trees, fire hydrants and underground utilities.

Residents are responsible for the general care and maintenance of the boulevard abutting their property. This includes cutting grass, managing weeds, and keeping it free of litter, leaves and debris and in a tidy condition.

Residents are not permitted to prune, remove, or apply pesticides to any public tree. The City will respond to requests for the maintenance or removal of trees on City Property on a priority basis as outlined in the Bylaw.

For more information, visit the Maintenance of Boulevards Policy.

If you’re looking to plant a tree on a boulevard, please refer to the Tree Planting on Public Property Policy

Sidewalks

Sidewalks are public walkways situated along city streets and are maintained by the City on a priority basis.
