Melfort Playgrounds

During those summer months when the kids are out of school and looking for something to keep them busy, send them down to one of the playgrounds operated by the City of Melfort. These playgrounds have up-to-date play structures geared towards the 2 – 5 year olds and a rotating City-operated playground program that runs during the months of July and August on
Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

  • Burke Kinsmen Playground: Spray pad & Program located at the corner of Broadway Ave South & Melfort Street.
  • Brunswick Kinsmen Playground: Paddling Pool & Program located at the corner of Brunswick Street & Bemister Ave E
In addition to these playgrounds with water features, there are also three other playground areas. One of these is located just off Broadway Avenue North at the former Broadway School, with green space and playground equipment. There is also a play area located on the east end of Park Avenue, called the Melfort Creek Playground, as well as the Elks Playground on Stovel Avenue West.  Under development in 2019 is the Kinsmen North Park on Babington East and the Accessible Spray Park & Playground at the Spruce Haven Recreation Area.
