Welcome to the City of Melfort COVID 19 Information Page.

In response to the Government of Saskatchewan September 17, 2021 implementation of public health measures the City of Melfort  is now requiring masks in all indoor city facilities. Proof of vaccination may be required at city facilities dependent on the event or program taking place. Click here for detailed masking and proof of vaccination information. 

The Council for the City of Melfort has adopted a policy requiring all City personnel to provide proof of vaccination or weekly negative certified COIVD 19 test results.

Facilities   

Many City of Melfort outdoor facilities have been reopened to the general public. Indoor facilities all users require masks to enter the facilities. Exemptions included participants of indoor youth athletics for those under the age of 18 and everyone using the pool at the Northern Lights Palace, masks will be required for spectators  as well as in the lobby and dressing rooms.

Depending on the programing and or activity provided, proof of vaccination may be required. The lobby is open to the public for all your City Hall needs, masks are required however proof of vaccination is not required to enter at this time.

Billing and Payments   

The City of Melfort has taken steps to provide increased flexibility and immediate short-term relief to property owners during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Payments can be made by mail, dropped off in the mail slot at City Hall or online through your online banking service. If you have questions about your payment options for utility accounts or property taxes you can contact Sandy Peterson, City Treasurer at 306-752-5911 or email [email protected]   

Waste Collection and Disposal   

Curbside pickup of household waste and recycling continues on regular schedule. The Melfort Regional Landfill is open to the general public Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am - 5:15 pm.  Debit or approved accounts only.

City Council
